Wednesday am thoughts

So here I am with a couple of minutes to myself, the house is perfectly quiet....

ahhhhhh....

I had to get up super early this morning to get hubs to the airport. Normally he'd drive himself but the van (which we just had fixed) started to do this weird sputtering thing yesterday so we had to take it in and I can't be without a vehicle for the two days he's gone so.....

I got up at 5am and drove to the airport.

But that's not the crazy thing.

When I came home, instead of hopping back into my warm bed beside my warm four year old (not sure why she has her own bed really?!?!) I put on my ipod and went for my run early. YUP CRAZY!

So here I am, it's 7:40 the kids are all still asleep and I've been for my run. I actually have a minute to write my blog and have a shower.

I think I am seeing what you morning people are going on about. Don't get too excited though cuz I still love my warm bed!

I LOVE my mornings! I'm regularly up between 5:30 and 6:00 and it's the only time in the day that I have to myself.

That happens to me every now and then and I think wow, I should do this more often. And then the next day the alarm goes off and I want to die.

I am sooooo not a morning person. But, I do it, or I would never get a run in.

I had to get up at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday to take my 14-year-old to the church garage sale so he could help set up and then work. I made the mistake of asking if they needed any help with the set-up and didn't get home until 7:40. Couldn't sleep in the warm and cozy bed. Once you get old, it's really hard to get back into bed. In hindsight, I should have made my son walk two miles to the church in the dark.

I like early mornings if I don't have to go to work. I don't mind getting out of bed to shop and I proudly wear the shoes I bought at 4am the day after Thanksgiving!

This is inspiring to me, especially when its 6:15 pm here and I am sitting here dreading my run. I better go hop to it. Wish me luck! ;) Take care.

I've honestly always wanted to be a morning person. I don't think it's ever going to happen, tho.

Wow, I am totally impressed! I love to get up before the kids though, so nice to have some peace and quiet.

Oh, I may end up with a section anyway, I now have complete placenta praevia. ugh.

I stayed in my nice warm bed til 10 AM. Kids off to school by 8. No work. My birthday. Sleep was what I gave myself. Yay!!!

I do like what I can do when I get up early, but like you, I love the bed and the dreams.

Good for you! I've done that a few times, and I always feel great. Not that that makes it any less hard to get up the next morning!!

I love it when I have mornings like this, but then I'm ready for a nap by 11:30.

I am not a morning person...I dread the alarm going off. I do my run in the evening usually because it helps me sleep (I have weird sleep issues!)

I never was a morning person until last year when my kids started wanting to sleep in and I traded my childless "after the kids are in bed" time to childless "before the kids get up" time. I am so much more mentally alert in the mornings than I am at night, so I'm finding the positives about being a morning person!
Good job on getting your run in early in the morning!
